Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday said that the creation of sanctioned posts at CHC Thanamandi in Rajouri district is under active consideration and posts will be filled soon. Replying to a question of MLA Thanamandi, Muzafar Iqbal Khan, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakina Itoo said that the PHC Thanamandi was upgraded to the level of Community Health Centre (CHC) vide Government Order NO. 30-HME of 1999 dated 02.02.1999. “The matter regarding creation of the sanctioned posts is under active consideration of the Department, keeping in view the overall staffing requirements, resource availability, and prioritization across health Institutions,” she said. “Necessary steps shall be taken as and when feasible, in line with departmental norms and approvals,” Sakina added. She added that at present, NTPHC Dhoke, PHC Thanamandi, PHC Manjakote and, PHC Gambhir Muglan are operational with the available regular staff and contractual manpower engaged under the National Health Mission (NHM). “Vacancies under the paramedical promotional quota are expected to be filled shortly, based on the recommendations of the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee (DDPC),”she said. “The Department is actively pursuing the matter, and the vacancies shall be filled on priority upon receipt of selection lists from the concerned recruiting authorities,” she further added—(KNO)
